Actress Jennifer Kotwal was always sure that she didn’t want to do a film, unless the subject, director and the cast appealed to her. This determination has reflected in all the projects that she has done so far. No wonder, she hasn’t been seen too much after her film ‘Prince’ with Darshan.

Jennifer says she is asked by those she bumps into, if she is taking a break from
acting or if she’s quit the profession altogether.

The young actress thinks these questions have no relevance because she’s doing so many other things that had always interested her. “I am doing a lot of print commercials and I keep experimenting with my looks.

I was sure that I didn’t want to do films with some random subject line, an unheard of hero and a village scene. There’s a lot of time that’s devoted to making a movie and I want people to remember me for the roles that I do. I don’t want to do films just to add to the list of projects,” Jennifer tells Metrolife.

She further states that language has never been a barrier. “I would never mind doing a guest appearance in a film with a strong subject and a decent cast to boast about. But a lot of projects that are coming my way aren’t up to the mark. So I would rather do things that excite me and satiate my yearning for creativity,” she adds.

Jennifer recalls that she has had some of her best moments working in the Kannada film industry. “My heart lies in the Kannada film industry but I wouldn’t do anything just to be noticed.

All the directors and actors I’ve worked with so far have treated me with respect and I want to keep that rapport going,” she states.  While films are Jennifer’s first passion, she also has a deep interest in photography. “But I am not one of those who picks up the camera and heads out into the wild. I would like to take my time.

My interests are very mood based. I do something only if I have a passion for it,” she notes.

Jennifer always manages to grab sometime to watch movies and she can’t stop raving about Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. “It’s a real subject and the characterisation is excellent. I like romantic comedies and this film perfectly suits my taste,” she signs off.
