The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on Friday seized 70 jars, each of 20-litre packaged drinking water, for misusing the ISI mark. The manufacturer, Karanji Industries, was using the ISI mark without valid BIS Certification Marks Licence, on its product –– ‘Golden Aqua and Karanji’. Labels of the brand bearing ISI mark used for affixing on the jars were also seized.
