<p>An Akali Dal leader, who had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking government takeover of BCCI, has claimed to have received a letter threatening to eliminate him and his family and has sought police protection.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Delhi Police has received a complaint in this regard from Kuldip Singh Bhogal, All India Organising Secretary, Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal). <br /><br />Bhogal, who is also the president of Association for Social and Humanitarian Affairs (ASHA), had filed a complaint at Sun Light police station in south-east Delhi. He claimed that he had received a letter on June 18 threatening that his entire family would be eliminated. Bhogal has named Mohammad Khurra and Mukesh in his complaint. <br /><br />Station House Officer (SHO) of Sun Light police station Sunil Mittal said, “We have received a complaint from Bhogal and we are investigating it. I can’t say much about it as it is a sensitive case.”<br /><br />Bhogal has also demanded security cover from the Delhi Police in his complaint. The Akali Dal leader has sent a copy of the letter along with a complaint to police stations at Sunlight Colony and Hazrat Nizamuddin and Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar.<br /><br />According to the FIR, Bhogal has filed a writ petition in the Delhi High Court last month seeking government takeover of BCCI. <br /><br />He had alleged various irregularities under BCCI and that underworld was indirectly taking control. <br /><br />He had named underworld dons Dawood Ibrahim and Iqbal Kaskar in his petition. The next date of hearing in the matter is on August 14.<br /></p>
