A relative of former Mulbagal MLA Amaresh was assaulted and robbed of Rs 10 lakh in broad daylight here on Monday, police said.
Shekhar was attacked by several masked men near his house when he was going to a bank to purchase a DD.
The robbers struck him hard in the head before fleeing with the money. He is being treated at the government hospital.
