'CM mortgaged his post to Reddys'

Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah said by agreeing to fulfil all the demands of the Bellary Reddy brothers, the CM has mortgaged his post to them. “Yeddyurappa has done it only to protect his seat. It is not only an insult to the democracy, but to the whole State. It is the first time in the history of the State that a CM has behaved like this,”he stated.

KPCC President R V Deshpande called the compromise reached between the CM and the Reddys as a forced marriage and said it will not last long. “Due to the crisis, the administration had collapsed for 15 days. It is unpardonable,” he said.

Former CM and JD(S) State President H D Kumaraswamy said he will congratulate both the factions of the BJP for preventing imposition of the President’s rule again. The crisis had surfaced due to simmering discontent among BJP leaders. I hope at least now the BJP leaders will work towards the development of the State,” he said.
