JOIN USHe was speaking after distributing cheques to the beneficiaries of the Ashraya Scheme at Kalluru colony in the taluk on Saturday.
He said that housing facility for all those shelterless people was being provided under various schemes in the taluk. The essential basic amenities would also be provided at rural and urban areas, he added.
Zilla Panchayat President M Srinivas who spoke on the occasion said that it was the duty of the local leader to ensure that benefits reached only the eligible beneficiaries. There also is a responsibility on the beneficiaries to make good use of the benefits, he suggested them.
The compound of a school constructed under NREGS was also inaugurated on the occasion.
Gram Panchayat President Rajamma, local leaders Ranga Reddy, K K Manju, Venkatswamy, Nagesh and others were present.
