India 'A' camp kicks off

India ‘A’ players kick started their preparatory camp at the National Cricket Academy on Tuesday for the two ‘Tests’, three one-day games against New Zealand beginning on August 28.

Twelve out of the fourteen players will be put through their paces at the academy in a week-long camp followed by which they will play two practice matches before leaving for Visakhapatnam.

Unmukt Chand and Manpreet Juneja will miss the camp as they are representing the India under-23 squad in the Asian Cricket Council Emerging Teams Cup in Singapore, and will join the rest of the squad at Vizag a day before the start of first unofficial Test.
Squad: Abhishek Nayar (captain), Jiwanjot Singh, Unmukt Chand, Vijay Zol, Manpreet Juneja, VA Jagadeesh, CM Gautam, Dhawal Kulkarni, Imtiyaz Ahamed, Aniket Chaudhary, Sreekanth Wagh, Jalaj Saxena, Rakhesh Dhruv, Sarabjeet Ladda.
