Thieves strike at don's house

 
The theft took place some three days ago when Appaji Gowda, assistant professor at Dayananda Sagar College had gone to a village in Kolar district along with his family members. Interestingly, Gowda had kept all his jewellery in a bank locker. He brought them home, wore some of them and kept in an almirah before leaving Bangalore. The thieves broke open lock of the front door to gain entry. Of the two laptops, the thieves collected only one laptop. The theft came to light when he returned on Monday.

Thief nabbed

The KG Halli police nabbed a thief in house theft cases and recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 7 lakh from him. The accused has been identified as Mohammad Sharif (39), of Sadiq Layout.
