The Health Department was fully geared to tackle the situation in the wake of any epidemic outbreak including chikungunya, malaria or dengue, he said after reviewing the situation with his department officials.
Sreeramulu said the department officials have been directed to take necessary preventive steps against the outbreak of epidemics and maintain stocks of required medicines ahead of the monsoon season.
The government will provide more de-fogging machines to control the menace of mosquitoes, he said.
