Not just the name but also the thoughts became gooey when Delhiites visited the second edition of Chocolicious Festival that recently concluded at SelectCity Walk, Saket. From frozen yoghurt to popcorns, bakers from Delhi and NCR had dunked almost everything in chocolate!

Held at the mall’s central atrium, just a handful participants came with their best creations and managed to attract people from all across the City. With bagels, brownies, cakes and patisserie -  all available under one roof, chocoholics had a time of their life trying an array of chocolaty products.

While Easter bunnies and Christmas Santas made in white and milk chocolate by Swiss Gourmessa were a hot favourite among kids, elders enjoyed munching chocolate popcorn by 4700 BC Popcorn. The latter were available in sixteen flavours but their latest product - chocolate popcorn rocks - were relished the most. There were a bunch of cheese flavoured popcorns dipped in white or dark chocolate and topped with almonds which felt mushy in mouth.

There were a lot of varieties in cupcakes by Ridhima Khanna’s Addicted, Naushi’s Kitchenette and Angels in My Kitchen. The Red Velvet Cupcakes prepared by Riddhima had a light flavour of vanilla and Philadelphia cream cheese chocolate and the Red Velvet Dessert Jars by Suhani Bhel from SUgar.

dust were a tough competition to the former! The true spirit of chocolate was brought alive by the spongy and rich rum balls offered by Naushi’s Kitchenette. A much different flavour was explored by Wrapp-Ups which specialised in making cakes and brownies. Their mousse glasses and fondant cakes were appealing to the eyes and tasteful to the tongues.

There was something for the eyes too as chefs from Angels in My Kitchen created a huge Taj Mahal with dark chocolate giving life to Shahjahan’s dream. “It took us three nights to prepare different parts of the Taj Mahal which we brought and assembled here to complete the food installation. Also, we wanted a complete look so we even designed the Mughal Gardens with chocochip cupcakes topped with buttercream frosting to make it green,” shared Bijoy Majhi from Angels in My Kitchen.

The drooling chocoholics were in for a surprise when the cupcakes used to make this black marvel were distributed to them in the evening!
