Some of the such illegal encroachments have been evicted so far. In some cases, after taking door number from the Gram Panchayat Secretary and Town Panchayat Chief Officer, the culprits are involved in encroaching government land. Land is being encroached in CRZ limits.
“We have come to know that some have received door numbers for those houses which do not exist in reality, to avail the rehabilitation package and other facilities in Mudipu and Konaje areas. Criminal case will be filed against the culprits. If proved, they will have to undergo imprisonment for three years.
Cases will be filed against those officials who support such illegal acts,” he warned.
