BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi today asked youths to exercise their franchise for a strong and powerful government in Delhi.

"Do you want a self-reliant, strong and powerful country and strong government at Delhi?" he said, asking the youths to exercise their franchise judiciously.

The Gujarat Chief Minister advised them to check whether their names figure in the voting list.

"You must check whether you have the voting right," he said, urging ex-servicemen and youths to ensure that people in their neighbourhood are eligible voters and that they caste their votes.

"Many among us could not serve our motherland by joining the forces...but there is another opportunity to do so and it is by using the power to vote," he said, addressing an ex-servicemen rally in the Ahirwal belt of southern Haryana.

"The right to vote is the biggest gift that our Constitution provided us," he said.

"Getting people enrolled for voting after attaining the age of 18 is a sacred work," he said.

Modi said the rally was a "call for change" at Delhi that had begun from the land of Haryana.
