From a gangster’s girlfriend to a schizophrenic to a spunky small town girl, actress Kangana Ranaut has portrayed a variety of characters on the screen in the past seven years.

However, the actress is quick to admit that her role in Revolver Rani is the toughest she’s had to essay so far.

“My role in Revolver Rani is very difficult to portray. I think it is my toughest role so far,” Kangana says. Elaborating on her look in the film, she adds, “It’s a very unusual film, one in which my looks are very different. I have to look unattractive in the film and for the first time, I have to take care that I do not look beautiful.”

She adds that she had to undergo a few extensive training sessions to ensure that her handling of a revolver looks believable on screen.

Reportedly, Tabu was approached for the role before Kangana.

Directed by Sai Kabir, the film is being co-produced by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Rahul Mittra.

The actress, who was last seen in ‘Shootout at Wadala’, is happy with the kind of films that are coming her way at present.

She says, “It’s going to be an exciting year for me. I am doing different roles in each film. I am extremely happy with the kind of scripts that I am getting these days.” Her next release is Krrish 3 with Hrithik Roshan.

The movie is being directed by Rakesh Roshan. It is slated to release on November 4.
