The colourful and bright ambience of ‘Snack That’, located in HSR Layout near the BDA Complex, makes this eatery a favourite in the area.

The menu is an absolute delight, with dishes that combine a variety of flavours. The eatery has a great location, since it’s on the main road.  More importantly, it has something for everyone; burger lovers, pasta lovers and even those who want to have a quick bite will find something to dig into.

For starters, one can have onion rings or a corn and cheese quesadilla — a cheesy corn mixture stuffed into a soft tortilla — or even French fries, which are available in three flavours: classic salted, spicy garlic and cheesy fries. Apoorva Hegde and  Melson Lewis, who started the eatery, always wanted to set up something of their own.

“We got fed up of the corporate lifestyle and our jobs. That is when we decided to open this eatery. The food that we serve here is something that we have grown up eating. We like the food and thought that others might also like it,” says Apoorva.

Hot dogs and sandwiches — including the Mexican hotdog with salsa, junkie dog and Italian dog — are quite popular.  The thick hotdogs have a delicious filling and are a treat for the taste-buds. The highlight of the menu, though, are the sandwiches.  Besides the regulars, like the chicken club sandwich, there are others such as Vietnamese bank mi.
It includes chicken cooked in the Vietnamese style, clubbed with jalapeno, mayonnaise, carrot and radish slaw. The dishes available here are strongly inspired by European and Mexican styles of cooking; a few have a touch of Asian ingredients as well.

There’s a lot of choice in terms of burgers as well — from a simple classic burger to the Texas-stuffed burger, all-American burger, Italian meatball burger and basil chicken burger, which is flavoured with basil mayonnaise. The veggie burger has a host of vegetables and is topped with mayonnaise.

There is also a selection of pancakes, waffles andFrench toast, which are served with a special homemade syrup. Though there is not much that one can have for dessert, the choices available here are quite tempting — ‘pancake fudge’, which comprises a stack of pancakes served with chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream and caramelised nuts; and ‘crepe fantasy’, which is vanilla ice cream wrapped in a French
crepe and topped with chocolate sauce and nuts.

The eatery is located at 251/A, 1st Floor, 19th Main, 17th Cross, Sector 4, HSR Layout.
