The Champions League Twenty20 Group A game between Mumbai Indians and the Highveld Lions at Ahmedabad on Sep 27 has been shifted to Jaipur.

The venue has been shifted due to incessant rain over the past few days which also led to the two matches on September 23 -- Highveld Lions vs Perth Scorchers and Mumbai Indians vs Otago Volts -- being washed out. The match will now be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

“Ahmedabad has been witnessing heavy and relentless rainfall over the past few days. In the interest of cricket, the CLT20 Group A game between Mumbai Indians and Highveld Lions, which was scheduled to be played at Ahmedabad on September 27, has been shifted to Jaipur. The match will be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, at 8.00 p.m. on September 27 ,” said a CLT20 release on Wednesday.

The rain has also put the two matches for September 30 in doubt.

“The weather in Ahmedabad will be monitored on a continuous basis, and a decision on the double-header on September 30 will be taken a few days later.”
