Modern house getting ready for Raj Kundra

Just last year, Udupa had performed the ‘Bhootha Kola’ and ‘Naga Puja’ for Shilpa in the village. Her relatives expect Shilpa to come to the village with her husband by the year-end. During this visit, Udupa is supposed to perform another ritual — ‘Nagamandala Utsav’ — for the Shettys.

And in anticipation of Shilpa’s first visit after the wedding, close relatives in the village are constructing a modest new house as an addition to the existing ancestral house which lacks modern facilities. Shilpa’s parents are facilitating the construction to make their would-be son-in-law comfortable.

“Our family house does not have any modern amenities that people living in big cities are used to. Shilpa is our girl and she is not demanding as far as facilities are concerned, but it is our duty to take care of our son-in-law. Hence, a house providing basic facilities and privacy is a must,” said a relative.

So, they are eagerly waiting to welcome Kundra though they say they do not even have a confirmation of the wedding date.
