Two killed in separate accidents

A 24-year-old was killed when the two-wheeler he was riding was hit by a goods vehicle in Ulsoor traffic police limits on Saturday.

The victim is Shabdil Singh Rajput. The accident took place at 11.45 pm when Singh was on his way to MG Road on his two-wheeler.

He was tossed up in the air, fell down and suffered major injuries after he was mowed down by the goods vehicle. A few local residents rushed him to Bowring Hospital, but Singh died on the way, police said.

The goods vehicle driver fled along with the vehicle after the accident. Singh was working with a private firm as a client advisor.


Pillion rider mowed down
In another accident near Nelamangala, Latha, 45, who was riding pillion on her relative’s bike, was killed on the spot after a private bus mowed down the bike. The accident took place at 7.30 am when she was on her way to Nelamangala from Mahimapura along with her relative Ravi.

She fell down and came under the front wheel of the bus which mowed down the bike. Ravi also suffered injuries in the accident. The police have taken the bus driver into custody.
