Readers' conference by Media Academy

“The readers are of the opinion that the media is not reflecting the problems of the society effectively. The conference will attempt to do away with such a feeling,” Academy president D P Parameshwar said at a press meet here on Sunday. Readers who regularly write letters to the editor column from all over the State will be invited to participate in the conference which will be attended by editors and representatives from government. The Media Academy will set up a journalists’ fund with a corpus of Rs 50 lakh to help needy journalists, he said.
