Man 'blames' Union govt in death note

A 32-year-old youth who committed suicide, has “blamed” the Manmohan Singh government for his extreme step. Santosh Kumar, an assistant at a Bata showroom in the City was found dead in his Dasarahalli house. A suicide note, purportedly left by Kumar, has left the cops baffled.

According to Sandeep Patil, DCP (North), the one-page death note written in Kannada says: “The Manmohan Singh government is soft pedalling with the enemy nation of  Pakistan. This is humiliating for the country. I am ending my life so that I can take birth again as a soldier and protect this country,”  Kumar has also stated that despite working in the City for the past 12 years he was unable to ensure a decent standard of living for his parents.

Man crushed to death

In Madivala, Lakshmi Siyal, 35, was crushed to death by a speeding truck while he returning to his room on a bicycle on Haralur Road near the military grounds at 9.45 pm on Thursday.
A native of Odisha, Siyal, a truck driver, was staying alone at Somasundarapalya. Police have informed his family members about his death. The driver of the truck fled, police said.
