<p> A youth was killed after his scooter was hit by a speeding BMTC Volvo bus on the outer ring road near Kammanahalli on Monday morning. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The deceased has been identified as Hameed, 23, a resident of Karim Nagar near HAL. Employed at a private company in the City, Hameed was on his way to work when the bus struck his scooter from behind.<br /><br /> Thrown from his vehicle, he sustained severe head injuries. Although rushed to a hospital nearby, he was declared dead on arrival. <br /><br />The bus driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. Banaswadi Traffic police have registered a case.</p>
