State off to good start

Karnataka were never troubled in the Group D game as they got off to a great start by taking the first set 25-14.

They then won the second even more convincingly 25-10.
Orissa put up little resistance as Karnataka took the third 25-16 to complete a comfortable victory.

In Group A, Tamil Nadu defeated Gujarat 25-7, 25-7, 25-12 while in Group B, Uttar Pradesh routed Bihar 25-8, 25-13, 25-10.

In the girls’ category, Andhra Pradesh posted a thumping 3-0 (25-5, 25-9, 25-12) win against Bihar.

Results: Boys: Group A: Tamil Nadu bt Himachal Pradesh 3-0 (25-7, 25-7, 25-12).
Group B: Uttar Pradesh bt Bihar 3-0 (25-8, 25-13, 25-10).
Group C: Kerala W/O Assam; Punjab bt Goa 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 25-10).
Group D: Karnataka bt Orissa 3-0 (25-14,  25-10, 25-16); Manipur W/O Uttarakhand.  
Girls: Group C: Andhra Pradesh bt Bihar 3-0 ( 25-5, 25-9, 25-12).
