Gritty Acharya enter quarters with win

Truman put Acharya into the lead in the 18th minute while Sahu equalised for Christ eleven minutes later as both went into half-time at 1-1.

Upon resumption, Acharya pumped in two goals in a space of four minutes. Ronald scoring first in the 50th minute before Jean Paul made it 3-1 in the 54th minute.

However, Christ fought back through Abhishek’s 58th-minute strike to reduce the lead but failed to find the net again as Acharya safeguarded their advantage for a place in knockout stage.
