<p>Four persons including a self-styled <strong>“Guruji” were arrested on the charge of attempting to sell babies, here on Thursday.</strong></p>.<p><strong> Police gave the names of the arrested as Srinivasa Guruji (40), the founder of an ashram in Bapanahalli, Murali (30), Reena (35) and Gladis (20).<br /><br />Police said Srinivasa had promised a person to help find children for adoption, and attempted to sell babies to him. He reportedly “fixed” a price of Rs two lakh for a baby girl and Rs four lakh for a baby boy. The police got wind of his plan and arrested all the four.<br /></strong></p>
