Speaking after inaugurating a seminar on legal services and consumers rights here recently, the District Judge said that imbibing legal literacy paves way for building a healthy and harmonious society. He said that the Legal Service Authority shoulders the responsibility of disseminating legal awareness, particularly to the poor and neglected section of the society.
President of District Consumers Disputes Redressal Forum, G V Hegde who spoke on the occasion called upon people to strive for gaining a modicum of knowledge on the laws of the land.
President of Golden Valley Education Endowment, Dr Thimmaiah said that Bar Associations play vital role in spreading legal awareness.
The programme was held under the joint auspices of Kolar District Legal Services Authority and Kengal Hanumanthaiah Law College. Civil Judge V S Lavanya was also present on the occasion.
