A couple from Bhadravathi, Shimoga district, were killed on spot in a mishap near Talalur Gate, Arsikere taluk, Hassan, on Tuesday.
Gopalakrishna (60) and his wife Parimala (55), residents of Bhadravathi died on the spot after their car rammed into a tree.
They were returning to their native after attending a funeral at Holenarsipur, when they met with the accident. Gopalakrishna lost control on the wheels and hit the tree.
He died on the spot, while, severely injured Parimala died on the way to hospital. A case has been registered at Arsikere rural police station.
