Meanwhile, central leaders of the party Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley and Venkaiah Naidu arrived in Bangalore to be present at the meeting scheduled to be held at a private hotel from 11:30 am onwards.

As many as 116 BJP MLAs, 28 MLCs and 19 Lok Sabha MPs, four Rajya Sabha members besides the five independent MLAs who have been made ministers have been invited for the meeting.

The meeting also comes at a time when all the demands of the rebels have been met by the Chief Minister. In a pressure building tactic on the CM,  several legislators in the rebel camp met at a private hotel on  the eve of the legislature party meeting. The legislators are said to be unhappy that their demand for induction of more ministers had not been met by Yeddyurappa.

The CM had rejected the demand by stating it did not figure in compromise formula hammered out by the party central leadership in New Delhi. The rebel legislators have threaten that they would raise the issue in the BJPLP meet.
