Car hits stationary bus; two hurt

 Two persons were severely injured as the car they were travelling in rammed into a stationary private bus, at Balagunda village, on Madikeri road, near here, on Thursday.

The injured have been identified as Bhanuprakash of Yadavanadu village and his farther Poovaiah.

The father-son duo were provided first aid at the Somwarpet government hospital and shifted to a hospital in Mysore for further treatment.

However, Bhanuprakash’s sister Bharathi and her son, who were accompanying them, have escaped unhurt.

It is said that the occupants of the Maruti Zen car were bound for Somwarpet and hit the bus, which was parked on the road to change the tyre.

The front portion of the car and the bus was damaged due to the impact.

A case has been registered.
