<p>FIFA President Sepp Blatter has apologised to Cristiano Ronaldo for certain remarks he made about the Portuguese and the Real Madrid star. <br /><br /></p>.<p>While comparing Ronaldo and Barcelona-forward Lionel Messi at a speech at the Oxford University Union in England on Friday, Blatter had jokingly said that “one spends more time at the hairdresser’s than the other.”<br /><br />The Madrid ace took offence to that on Tuesday and remarked that Blatter’s statement merely underlined FIFA’s bias against him and his country. <br /><br />Blatter also took to Twitter to clear the air with Ronaldo. “I apologise if you were upset by my light hearted answer at private event on Friday,” the Swiss addressed to Ronaldo’s official Twitter account. “I never meant to offend you.”</p>
