JOIN USSpeaking to reporters, the CM said the list of candidates will be finalised in consultation with the party high command. The party block presidents have been asked to send their choice of candidates before Nov 21.
The party is also working out strategies to win the BBMP election and Ministers Katta Subramanya Naidu and Ashok are working it out, the CM said. The election is scheduled on December 18, and December 1 is the last date for filing nominations. In the last Council elections, of the 25 seats, the Congress had won 21 seats and the rest had gone to the JD(S).
Replying to a question, the CM said the State Legislature would be held as per the schedule announced earlier. The Government had decided to hold the session from December 14.
Meanwhile, the Congress is finalising the list of candidates for the Council polls. The district Congress presidents have been directed by the KPCC to send the probable candidates list before December 23, according Ramachandrappa, KPCC general secretary.
