'Romeo' on the prowl

He has just finished his second project titled Puneeth, A Romantic Boy, under the banner of Creative Mind Production. He plays a rich flirtatious boy in the film.

Dileep quickly clarifies to Metrolife that the film has nothing to do with Appu star Puneeth Rajkumar.

“As the movie’s title suggests, it’s the story of a boy called Puneeth who keeps on flirting with girls. Finally, he falls in love and becomes serious about it. I accepted the project for its punching dialogues and the unusual climax,” says Dileep.

Nisha Shetty, a new girl, is playing the female lead. Prominent artistes Ramakrishna, Bhavya and Chandrashekar are also in the cast. Kaviraj has composed music for the movie and he has roped in Baba Sehgal for the song Collegenalli Ond Hudugi. Indian Idol superstar Abhijit Sawant has sung a duet, Kannalli Kannanittu.

“Baba Sehgal crooned a hip-hop song for us. He has sung in Kannada for the first time. The shooting of the song is still pending and we are planning for a different set design to obtain a rich look,” exclaims Dileep.
