RSS chief's maiden address in City today

Around 15,000 people are expected to attend the meeting and listen to Bhagwat’s maiden address in Bangalore after assuming charge as Sarasanghachalak. The meeting starts at 5 pm. Entry to the meeting is from Krishna Vihara (Mekhri Circle side).

As many 5,000 Swayam Sevakas in traditional ‘Ganavesh’ (uniform) will demonstrate physical exercise in tune with band music. For the backdrop a 60x40 feet mega stage with a depiction of Sri Krishna holding the Govardhan mountain has been adopted.

Beehive of activity

RSS Headquarters Keshav Krupa on Saturday was a beehive of activity, where the logistics of the meeting was being finalised. Swayam Sevakas also collected their uniforms from the venue.

Traffic management

Meanwhile, RSS had also worked out a plan to manage vehicular movement and ease traffic on Sunday around Palace Grounds. According to the release, people from Ulsoor, Indiranagar, Jayanagar and Anekal can enter from Doordarshan side.
Those who are coming from Banashankari, Chamarajpet, Magadi Road, Vijayanagar can enter from Mekhri Circle. People coming from Yelahanka, Hebbal need to enter beneath the Mekhri flyover.

Arrangements have been made to park vehicles inside Palace Grounds. However, those coming from Rajajinagar and Malleswaram have been requested to park the vehicles at Sadashivanagar cross roads.
