KPCC poll panel meet on Dec 15

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president G Parameshwara on Wednesday said the party would start the process of shortlisting its candidates for the Lok Sabha polls with the election committee meeting in Bangalore on December 15.

He told reporters that All India Congress Committee General Secretary and in charge of Karnataka Digvijay Singh would attend the meeting. Parameshwara said he had received a list of probable candidates from party observers from all the 28 Lok Sabha constituencies in the State. The party’s State election committee would scrutinise them. The KPCC would send its recommendations on probable candidates to the AICC Central Election Committee, he said.

Addressing a press conference in Bangalore earlier, KPCC vice president B K Chandrashekar said the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) should immediately implement the State Cabinet decision and conduct revaluation of answer scripts and interviews of candidates for the posts of Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ gazetted probationers.
