Despite Bharatiya Janata Party landslide (BJP), five Assembly constituencies in Rajasthan went down to the wire. The victory margin here was less than 1,000 votes, unlike in other seats where the  BJP had comfortable leads.

In Lalsot, Kirorilal Meena of the National People’s Party hung in until the last vote, downing his Congress rival Parsadilal Meena by 491 votes, whereas in Sagwara, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Anita Katara won against Surendra Kumar of Congress by 640 votes.

The Amber constituency saw the closest yet with Navin Pilania of the NPP triumphing over BJP leader Satish Poonia by 329 vote. Narayan Singh of the Congress was only slightly comfortable in his victory over his nearest Bharatiya Janata Party rival as he won the Dantaramgarh seat with a victory margin of 575 votes, while in Kusharagh, BJP candidate Bhima defeated his nearest Congress rival by a margin of 708 votes.
