The Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) has urged the State’s Chief Minister Siddaramaiah that since Karnataka’s coast is considered as the golden coastline of India, it needs to be developed to its full potential on the lines of neighbouring states such as Goa and Kerala.
“Export earnings are expected to jump by 30 per cent to 40 per cent from this global exposure,” FKCCI Senior-Vice-President S Sampathraman said.
FKCCI President R Shivakumar said that the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s vision for the greater growth of Karnataka is required in both agriculture and manufacturing sectors which are the two employment generating sectors.
“This is urgent as the Karnataka’s GDP is fast declining and apart from agriculture, the manufacturing sector especially SMEs should be strengthened to have an inclusive balanced and sustained growth,” Shivakumar added.
