Electrifying beats fill the air

With the countdown beginning for the annual electronic music dance festival ‘Sunburn Goa 2013’, the City too is enjoying its share of ‘Sunburn Arena’ gigs.

DJ Tim Bergling aka ‘Avicii’ mesmerised the audience at the ‘Sunburn Arena Bangalore’ held in Neo Town, Electronics City recently.

As the crowd started to gather much earlier than expected, the organisers were forced to start the concert without much delay. The opening performance by DJ Vinod Kannan, which included a few trance hits, kicked off the event.

This was followed by music producer Otto Knows’ performances, including his hit remixes like ‘Lies’, ‘Starlight’, and ‘Twisted Love’.

The Swedish DJ kept the crowd engaged for over two hours. Just as the crowd kept asking for more, it was time for the most-anticipated moment. By then, fans
struggled to find some space in the overcrowded venue.

Soon, ‘Avicii’ took over the stage to perform his all-time hits like ‘Wake Me Up’, ‘Hey Brother’, ‘Levels’, ‘You Make Me’, ‘Silhouette’ and ‘I Could Be The One’.

The maker of stellar hits such as ‘Le7els’, ‘Bromance’ and ‘Silhouettes’, ‘Avicii’ sure knew how to keep the crowd grooving. As the crowd cheered to the electrifying beats, the special effects added to the mood of the show.

For many, the biting cold and the distance to the venue hardly seemed to matter.

Bharat, a member of the audience, said, “I have come all the way from Nelamangala to be a part of the show. I am his biggest fan and wouldn’t have missed this show for anything in the world. It’s thrilling to see ‘Avicii’ perform live.”

Gautam, another attendee, said, “I think ‘Sunburn’ is the mother of all dance-music festivals. For me, ‘Avicii’ is legendary. Tonight, he performed a mix of his biggest hits. His energy and stage presence is unmatchable. I was hoping he will perform some high-energy hits and he did not disappoint me.

Although, I knew he would perform later, I came by 3 pm so that I could watch him
from the front row. What a complete adrenaline rush it was! I enjoyed every bit of the concert.”

The show was indeed a blast with the organisers symbolically ending the concert with some fireworks.
