'Include C B Pur under Fast Track project'

Recently, a report had appeared in Deccan Herald  about a list of small tanks in twenty districts in the State. However, Chikkaballapur district was dropped from the list.
It is saddening that a district wherein development of tanks is most required has been not included under the project, underlined Law Minister Veerappa Moily in his letter to Minister for Water Resources Pavan Kumar Bansal.

Chikkaballapur district is drought hit and does not have a  permanent river canal. As a result farmers in the district are dependant on tanks alone.

Thus, the district needs to be included under the Fast Track Irrigation Project, he urged.
