Scion of Mysore royal family Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar died at an auspicious hour, according to astrology.
Wadiyar died between 1 pm and 2.20 pm in Bangalore on December 11. He collapsed during his routine walk after lunch at Bangalore Palace on that day. However, his death was confirmed only after efforts to resucitate him failed at the hospital.
According to astrologers, Wadiyar died during ‘Dhanishta Panchaga’ nakshatra considered auspicious time in astrology.
It is said that the palace priests vetted into the ‘panchanga’ to ascertain the ‘ghalige’ (time) of Wadiyar’s death to ascertain this.
