The cyber cell of the state police has arrested two persons who forwarded a photograph claiming to be that of the “palatial house of working class leader’’ Pinarayi Vijayan, state secretary of the CPM. The mansion, which was traced to Kunnamkulam in Thrissur district, was found to have been that of a person employed in the Gulf. Vijayan had registered a complaint against the defamatory message with the cyber cell last week. However, the email with “value additions’’ by several people in the form of stinging comments against Vijayan had by then travelled like wildfire through the Internet.

On Sunday, police arrested Manoj, a person employed in the Gulf and resident of Bharanikkavu in Kollam, and Karthik, a CA student and resident of Ettumanur in Kottayam, in this connection.
