Jain University – Centre for Management Studies (CMS)– is all set to bring Kannada theatre experience to life with Abhinaya 2014 on January 5. The national theatre festival will provide a platform for colleges,
amateurs and non-professional actors from all over the country to display their talent. Abhinaya has developed a new format this year. The finals will be a clash between four plays. Two plays will be selected from the best of previous Abhinaya performances. The other two plays will be selected after the preliminary rounds on December 22. The final teams will receive a cash prize, trophy and certificates. Awards such as best actor, best actress, best supporting actor, best supporting actress, best actor in a comic role and best actress in a comic role will be given away. Awards in other
categories such as best
direction, best lighting and best costumes too will be presented. Preliminary rounds will be held on
December 22 at JU – CMS, Atria towers, Palace Road. The finals will be held on January 5 at Jagriti Theatre, Ramagondanahalli, Varthur Main Road, Whitefield.

MES Pre-University
College of Arts, Commerce and Science will
conduct Incentia 2013, an
inter-college technical and cultural fest on December 23 and 24. Various events like general quiz, solo singing,
essay writing, flower arrangement, group song, solo and group dance competitions, lecture contest, face painting, instrumental music, pencil sketching, T-shirt designing, ‘Mad Ads’ etc will be a part of the fest. The fest will be held on the college campus between 9.30 pm and 6 pm. More than 1,000 students are expected to visit and participate in the fest.
