Ramdev criticises Kejriwal

Yoga guru Ramdev on Saturday criticised the newly sworn-in Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, for taking support of the Congress for forming the government.

Speaking at a press conference in the City, Ramdev said: “I congratulate Kejriwal on his victory. But, he has committed a few mistakes which he should not have. Firstly, he had said that he will not support any party nor will he receive support from anyone for the government formation. But the Congress is lending support to his party.

“Secondly, he should not have made ungrateful remarks about Anna Hazare. I have forgiven him hoping that he doesn’t repeat the mistakes.”

He took a dig at Kejriwal’s promises of bringing down power bills in the national capital by half and providing 700 litres of water daily.

“He has just entered politics and must have made the comments out of enthusiasm. Also, people think that with the Jan Lokpal Bill, everything will be set right. But it won’t. The whole system needs to be changed,” said Ramdev.
