Vansh, an 11-year-old sloth bear, died on Sunday morning at the Bannerghatta Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre, Bangalore.
The bear was rescued from Purulia in West Bengal. He was critically ill for the last few days and was tested positive to tuberculosis on April 18, 2012.
He was kept in isolation and was undergoing treatment by the veterinarians.
