Autorickshaws in the City will stay off the roads on January 6 to observe a daylong strike in support of their demands.
The auto drivers unions in the City have come together under the banner of Auto Rickshaw Struggle Federation demanding the government to reduce VAT and other taxes on auto LPG in the wake of sudden hike of Rs 11 in gas prices.
The federation has sought a meeting with the chief minister and the home minister on the issue of harassment of drivers by traffic police in the City.
