Prem has decided to step out of the garb of a director and return to acting for a while before he returns to direction again. Prem is excited and is overwhelmed by the response he has received from his fans across the State and from the industry as well. He will be acting in S Narayan’s film and is considering acting in two other films which he is yet to finalise.

S Narayan’s film is based on a real life incident that happened in the City, “it’s a action-oriented love story and the script seemed very interesting. So I didn’t think twice before accepting the offer,” Prem told Metrolife.

Prem says he had people ask him when he’d return to acting. “There’s too much expectation from people. I hope I can live up to that,” says Prem who thinks acting and directing are too different ball games altogether. “You would have to forget yourself when making a film but an actor has to follow the director’s concept.”

Prem thinks that people are the best critics of good and bad cinema. “You may have excellent promotional concepts, try every gimmick under the sun and innovate your own publicity stunts but if the people don’t like the movie, it’s as good as dead,” he says and adds, “word-of-mouth publicity is the best.”

Prem says he would like to finish acting in a couple of films before he starts his directorial venture Jogayya..The Legend of the Underworld casting Shivarajkumar.
