Rajashekaran for eradication of corruption

Last Updated 16 January 2014, 18:09 IST

Senior Congress leader and MLC M V Rajashekaran has suggested to the party high command to make eradication of corruption a priority.

In a letter to the party, which is holding the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting and AICC session in New Delhi, he has suggested to set up committees at all levels of the party to eliminate corruption.

He has also said that the party should give importance to streamlining administration in Congress-ruled states.

“In recent times, statements have been made by Congress leaders against the party’s policies. This has led to creating confusion and suspicion in the minds of Congress workers and the electorate,” he also said.

Training centres

The party should respond to the needs and aspirations of the younger generation, strengthen the Panchayat Raj system, contain criminalisation of politics and set up training centres in every State, added Rajashekaran.
