Shinde seeks speedy probe into Sunanda death

Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde has asked the Delhi Police to conduct a speedy probe into the death of Union minister Shashi Tharoor's late wife Sunanda Pushkar.

“Tharoor has written to me and sought an expeditious probe. I have already talked to the persons concerned and they are doing it,” Shinde said.

Tharoor, the Minister of State for Human Resource Development, on Sunday wrote a letter to Shinde saying he was “horrified to read reckless speculation” in the media and offered full cooperation in the probe.

Sunanda was found dead on Friday evening in a suite of a luxury hotel here. Tharoor requested that relevant authorities be asked to expedite the investigation.
