Last Updated 21 January 2014, 21:12 IST

Anti-corruption activist S R Hiremath has said that documents related to alleged irregularities by ministers D K Shivakumar and Roshan Baig would be submitted to the governor, the chief minister, the State Congress president, the All India Congress president and the vice president, within a week.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Hiremath, chief of Samaja Parivartana Samudaya, said the documents would also be given to Shivakumar and Baig.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Chief Secretary Kaushik Mukherjee should not protect these tainted ministers, but act courageously and uphold the law. Levelling fresh allegations against Energy Minister D K Shivakumar, Hiremath claimed that he was the kingpin of irregularities in granite quarrying in the forest areas in Kanakapura taluk of Bangalore Rural district.

He released some documents related to the proceedings of a meeting of high-level officials and correspondence between the officials regarding 143 cases of irregularities in granite quarrying in Kanakapura taluk.
