Man hacks parents, kin over dispute

A man allegedly killed six members of his family, including his parents, culminating a dispute over ancestral property in horror in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahar district, about 500 km from here on Thursday night.

Momin Khan was arrested by the police and is said to have admitted to the killings. According to reports, Momin, a resident of Pilkhana village in the district, had been disinherited from ancestral property by his parents following a dispute a year ago.

Momin  was looking for a chance to take revenge. He had returned to the village five days back and had brought with him a sword. On Thursday night his brother Sher Ali went out to see a relative off at the bus station.

After the family retired to the bed, police said, Momin  hacked to death his brother Shuakeen and his wife and their son Samad. He then went inside and slaughtered his 80-year old father Mausam Khan and mother. After that he hacked to death his another nephew.
