Traffic, parking curbs near Parade Grounds

The following traffic and parking restrictions will be in force around the Field Marshal Manekshaw Parade Grounds, off M G Road, on account of the Republic Day celebrations at 9 am on Sunday:

Invitees with yellow car passes should reach Cubbon Road and enter Gate No 1, facing the northern side of the ground, and park their vehicles on the western side of the venue.

Invitees with white car passes and the secretaries to the government, military officers, police officers,  etc, should use Gate No 2 (Cubbon Road) and park their vehicles on the northeastern side of the parking lot inside the ground.

Journalists and media crew should enter the ground through Gate No 3 and park their vehicles on eastern side of the venue.

Invitees with pink passes should enter through Gate No 3 and park their vehicles on north eastern side of ground.

Green car pass holders should park their vehicles in the parking lot on Kamaraja Road and Main Guard Cross Road and walk into the ground through Gate No 4 and 5.
Those participating in the parade should get down near Gate No 1 and their vehicles should be parked near the northern side of M G Road, from Anil Kumble Circle to Metro station.

 Vehicles of PWD, the BBMP and other government departments will be allowed into the ground from Gate No 1 on Cubbon Road and can be parked behind the fort wall (southern side).

Motorcyclists should park their vehicles on the eastern side of Kamaraja Road and walk into Gate No 4 and 5 on Kamaraja Road.

Those who do not have car passes can park their vehicles on the Kamaraja Road parking area and walk into the ground through Gate No 4 and 5 on Kamaraja Road.
People who want to attend the parade can park their two-wheeler, cars, etc near Safina Plaza, the BMTC shopping complex, 1st Floor at Shivajinagar Bus Stand, Chhota Maidan (Shivajinagar Corporation Ground) and Kanteerava Stadium, and walk into the ground through Gate No 4 and 5 on Kamaraja Road.

BMTC buses carrying participants can be parked MG Road from Anil Kumble Circle to Metro station (northern side).

Traffic will be diverted from 8.30 am to 10.30 am from BRV Junction to Kamaraja Road junction (both directions) on Cubbon Road.

Vehicles from Medinova towards Manipal Center should move on Infantry Road, through Safina Plaza, take left turn, proceed on Main Guard Cross Road, through Allies Circle, Dispensary Road, Kamaraja Road and Dickenson Road junction, take a right turn, proceed on Kamaraja Road, Kamaraja Road junction, take left turn and proceed on Cubbon Road towards Manipal Center junction.

Vehicle coming from Manipal Centre junction towards BRV Junction on Cubbon Road should turn left at Kamaraja Road junction towards Cauvery Art and Crafts Circle junction, take right turn, proceed on M G Road, through Anil Kumble Circle, turn right at BRV Junction and proceed towards Central Street.

Vehicle arriving from Anil Kumble Circle towards Cubbon Road should go straight on Central Street junction, turn right, reach Infantry Road, pass through Safina Plaza, turn left, down Min Guard Cross Road, Allies Circle, Dispensary Road, Kamaraja Road and Dickenson Road junction, turn right, move through Kamaraja Road junction, turn left before proceeding on Cubbon Road towards Manipal Center junction.

Vehicles coming from Cauvery Arts and Craft Circle on M G Road and going towards Cubbon Road and Kamaraja Road junction should go straight on M G Road towards Anil Kumble Circle, turn right, pass through BRV Junction and move towards Central Street.

Mobile phones, helmets, cameras, radio sets, umbrellas and other equipment will be banned inside ground.
