“Those who could not digest my political development have conspired against me politically. I am ready to face CBI or CID probe,” said District BJP Secretary Rajashekar.
Speaking to mediapersons on Friday, he said: “I will file a writ in the court seeking narco analysys test on me in a case pertaining to desecration of a place of worship in Chikmagalur. The members of political parties should support me.”
“I have obtained anticipatory bail from the court in the case and have given my statement to the police. The case has been filed against me for no mistake committed by me.” He challenged his opponent of coming out with clean chit.
“It was a conspiracy to end my political career,” he said. “I have been busy in the construction of my house for the last seven months. I have not met the accused face to face so far. I had received three missed calls. Thinking that it was my ward people who had called me, I called the number back. The person who had called me asked me to set right the drinking water woes. I had spoken to him only for 41 seconds. I took the labourers to the spot to set right the anomalies in UGD.”
“As the youth who were arrested belong to my ward, case has been registered against me.”
“As the JD(S) town President for eight months, I had developed rapport with the minorities. I visit the house of Muslim community members even to this day. I have responded to their woes. The problem which I am undergoing should not be faced even by my woes,” he said.
Rajashekar said that he is ready to face truth test at Dharmasthala in the name of his daughter in this particular case.
