Last Updated 27 January 2014, 20:09 IST

Taking  cue from New Delhi’s Aam Admi Party, the State BJP will come out with constituency-level manifestos for all the 28 Lok Sabha segments by collecting inputs from the people.

Briefing reporters after a meeting of party district presidents and general secretaries, BJP State General Secretary Raghunath Rao Malkapure said these local manifestos will be in addition to the national manifesto of the party. The inputs for the manifesto will be collected as part of a door-to-door exercise to be taken up by the party cadre between February 11 and 16.

A proforma would be distributed for the people during the campaign to get their feedback. The first list of BJP candidates for the  Lok Sabha elections would be finalised in the first week of February and the second list would follow in the second week. The party core committee meeting will be held on February 3. Modalities of the four rallies of party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in the State next month were also discussed.

In the first phase, Modi will address rallies at Davangere and Mangalore on February 18. He would again visit the State on February 28 to address rallies at Gulbarga and Hubli.
Party will hold its backward classes and SC/ST convention in Tumkur on February 23. The meeting was earlier scheduled to be held in Davangere.
